You can use a banneton with my sourdough bread recipe for beginners if you wish but it will work with any recipe, including my beginners bread recipe.

3 tablespoons chopped walnuts

8 ounces chilled goat cheese, rolled into 8 balls

8 bamboo toothpicks

8 (2 ounce) roasted beet wedges

24 fresh spinach leaves

3 tablespoons honey

Directions

Pour walnuts into a shallow bowl. Roll goat cheese balls in walnuts to coat completely.

Thread 1 coated goat cheese ball onto a toothpick; add beet wedge and 4 baby spinach leaves to the toothpick. Repeat with remaining toothpicks, goat cheese, beets, and spinach. Drizzle each skewer with honey.
